At Heads and Tails our aim is to provide a complete home from home for your dog. We are a very small family run business. We are not a boarding kennels and we don´t have cages. Because we do not want to overcrowd animals we keep our guests to a minimum and also do not accept very large dogs.

Although we offer experienced, professional and safe care, we do this in an environment where your dog will feel happy, relaxed and as loved as if it were at home. This means when you need to go away you can rest assured that they are being looked after just as they are used to. You can enjoy your holiday or concentrate on your work without worry and your dog will have a great time too!

Los Alarcones is set in 14,000 m2 of land, planted with fig trees, at the foot of the Estepona mountain, a stones throw from Los Pedregales national park. Any doggy guests who are up for long country strolls are in the right place. The house itself is secluded and tranquil.

All dogs have open access between the house and the safe outside areas from dawn till dusk. Outside they have secure space to play, relax, sunbathe or find a shady spot to snooze. When the sun begins to set all doggies are brought inside.
(we ask that all doggy guests have been treated with spot on treatments/ scalibor collars for ticks, fleas etc which we can provide if necessary) In wintertime or rainy days they can curl up in front of our wood burning stove.

Whether you have a lively young dog who requires plenty of attention and playtime or if your dog is older and needs rest and peace and quiet we can ensure they get it.

While we of course have lots of cosy beds, you are welcome to bring your dogs own, as well as their bowl, special toy or just a blanket with familiar smells.

On average rates work out at 15 euros per day. This includes at least 2 walks, high quality food and plenty of cuddles. However rates can vary depending on your needs. Whatever extra requirements you have for your pet they can be discussed and agreed upon. Whether it be special dietary requirements, medication or any special little quirks. If you would like your dog bathed and groomed for your arrival this can also be arranged. Prices can of course also be reduced for longer stays / more than one dog etc.

You are welcome to call and arrange a visit to discuss your dogs´ stay. Or we can come to you, meet your dog on their own patch and discuss both yours and their needs.

If your dog should need any Vetinary treatment during their stay we have a superb local surgery to contact. You can of course also leave details of your dogs own vet if you prefer. (Should your dog need any medical treatment in your absence costs will be charged to the customer).

Cats.
We love cats here too and we have quite a few of our own but don´t take cats as guests (we don´t like to see animals in cages). However, within the Estepona area we can offer a home visit service to check up on your moggy and feed and water daily. Call or mail us to discuss this option.
